Give Thanks

Recently I held a playdate here at the house for the first time.  I invited some moms over that are friends and some that were acquaintances.  I knew it was going to be interesting because no one knew each other and really I did not know some of them well at all.  When the invite went out it was somewhat last minute and I didn’t expect a very big turnout.  However, we had 12 children turnout and it was fun and insane at the same time!  That day my acquaintances turned into friendships.  I feel thankful for each and every mom that I was able to befriend and get to know better that day.

One Mom in particular warmed my heart that afternoon.  This mom I have known for a very long time, however I have not spent time with her since we were in the youth group together.  She is a busy mom/wife with 3 kiddos, ages 3, 2, and 8 months.  Regardless of the fact that it interfered with naps or that she had to work an overnight shift that night, she made the effort to be here.  I am truly thankful for such a flexible friend!  This reminds me of a song by Tracy Lawrence called “Find out who your friends are.”

“Never stop to think 'what's in it for me?' or 'it's way too far'

They just show on up with their big old heart

You find out who your friends are”

Thank you to all of my friends who have been so loyal and reliable through the years.  And here is to me being a better friend.

Although, there seldom is a day that passes when I don’t feel Thankful, this time of year has me feeling extremely Grateful.

First and foremost, I am incredibly Thankful that I know our Great Lord, Savior, the one who made the ultimate sacrifice for Us.  He is always there for us; he listens, forgives, heals, and blesses our lives and for that I will be forever Grateful.

I am also Thankful for…

My Husband

My Son

My Family

My Friends

My health

Each new day that I live

My shelter & food

The ability to stay home with my son

Many other things...

 Thanksgiving

For each new morning with its light,

For rest and shelter of the night,

For health and food,

For love and friends,

For everything Thy goodness sends.

Happy Thanksgiving to all!

Dewberry Farms

This past weekend we went out to Dewberry farms while we were down visiting Hadley, Emily and Parker.  This is similar to Kaska Farms that is located in West except for that it is about 5 times the size.  You could spend all day out there and still not see and do everything.  We had a great time and thanks to the Adams family for taking pictures since I had a brain fart and forgot my camera, AGAIN!

I was playing with my computer features on this pic.

This was hilarious!  Randy and Brady going down this super steep slide!

He loves the pumpkin, I guess...

And husband...ok I rode it too!

Birthday Madness

I have been very forgetful the last couple of weeks.  I have been forgetting my camera lately, which frustrates me to no end.  I love taking pictures and my camera only made it to one of the three birthday parties we went to a couple of weekends ago.  I also forgot our Camera when we went to visit Hadley, Emily, and Parker and went to the Dewberry farms.  Luckily, Emily took some great pictures!

Brittanys wedding

Brady slept the first 30 mins!

He's been in the cake!

Baylor Homecoming Parade

Saturday morning Sue and Kimberly wanted to take Brady to the Baylor Homecoming Parade. I didn’t want to miss out and I had some time in the morning so I decided to tag along. Hadley, Emily, and Parker were able to join us at the parade even though they were exhausted from their drive the night before.

Too bad Brady was closing his eyes!

Costume Party

I just had to share these pictures with everyone from our Costume Party. We threw a costume Bachelor/Bachelorette party for Brittany & Bryce Thursday night and everyone dressed up. Now I am not a big fan of Halloween (actually one of my least favorite holidays), but I have to admit it was fun dressing up like we did when we were kids! Chief was a football player, Randy a blind referee, and I was the obvious, a bumblebee…

This year, Halloween night was not spent trick-or-treating or dressing up. Instead it was spent at the rehearsal dinner party. I did have a costume for Brady, but it was extremely too hot for him to wear. You could say he was a musician for Halloween, because he was joining Bryce (Brittany’s fiancĂ©) on the piano!
