A QUICK visit

Last Wednesday we made a visit to Dallas where we visited my dear 91 year old Grandparents. Although there has been a bit of struggle with their health the last month or so, they were still happy as could be to see a couple of their grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Bailey was captivated by her great-grandfather. Just look at her expression!

This was indeed a memorable visit!

Flashback #3- The BIG Three-O

In June of 2009 Randy's family and I organized a surprise party for him on his 30th birthday.

It would not be a Niemeyer gathering without some 42

Yes, we stuck the birthday boy in the dunking booth

Hadley, Emily and our Godson Parker man!

Flashback #2 This is what summer is all about!

With the cool weather blowing in, I started thinking about summer! This was Memorial Day weekend of 2009 when we took Randy's family to the lakehouse. Its tradition by now to host one or two trips to Toledo Bend during the summer.

A visit to Brady

We took a quick day trip to Brady, Texas yesterday visiting my moms parents. We have not seen my grandparents since the summer. Little Miss Bailey has bloomed from baby to toddler in these few short months, I felt a visit was needed. This day was memorable...

Holiday Memories

This past weekend Randy and I took the kids to visit Santa at "Deck the Halls" gift market. Brady was more than enthusiastic about chatting with Santa about the upcoming holiday. Bailey on the other hand wanted nothing to do with the big guy. I cant help but laugh every time I look at this picture. Its a classic and priceless...

Something Grand

FYI- I intend on "catching up" from the last year that I have missed blogging. So you may see older posts at random until I get up to date.

May 16, 2009
Life is Grand for these two amazing people who have been celebrating life for over 90 years now! Take a look back at our celebration of Grandpa's 90th birthday!

Where are the other 88 candles?

Brady boy singing the happy birthday song. I actually have a video of him singing to Grandpa. I need to dig it up.

Where have we been????

Its amazing how much can change in a year and a half. Many of you ask, where have you been?Well...where do I start? The last time I blogged I was about 5 months pregnant with Bailey. I spent most of that summer loving on Brady and spending quality time with him knowing that once September rolled around, our time together would be cut short. At the beginning of September Randy and I decided to put our house on the market, with hopes that we would sell by January. On September 9th 2009, we welcomed our second precious gift from God into the world, Bailey Kate Niemeyer. The good Lord must have a sense of humor, because 2 days after we settled in at home with our new little one we had a offer on our house. We accepted the offer, packed and moved out at the end of October. We then moved in with Randy's sister Wendy and her husband Brian. They were great roommates and had more than enough room at their house for our newly growing family. At the beginning of November we broke ground on our house and spent the next 5 months watching our dream evolve. We moved into our new house at the end of March. We have been settling in for the last 7 months and I feel that I am now at a point in our busy lives that I can spare a few moments to blog. Well...thats my life the last couple of years in a nut shell. More to come...

Halloween Festivities

We recently switched our membership from the YMCA to the Tennis and Fitness Center for convenience reasons. Last Monday we went to their annual Halloween bash. We dressed the kids up, Brady was none other than the famous Buzz Lightyear while lil' miss Bailey was the cutest little zebra you have ever seen!

Mr. Brady Boy won second place in the halloween costume contest!

Our nieces, Bridgit and Tenley, were there as well.

What a Treat!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

I have to admit, I am not a big fan of Halloween but this year I decided make it super fun! We held a trick-or-treating hayride. Although it was crowded on the ride, everyone seemed to enjoy being carted around from door to door.

Back in Business!

We're back! So much has happened in a year and a half, which was the last time that I blogged. I intend on catching up, one post at a time. Stay tuned for Niemeyer news from the last year plus...
