Create a Tutu Playdate

After friend of mine, Mandi, gave me instructions on how to make tutus, I came up with a brilliant idea. A Tutu making playdate! Well, at least I thought it was clever at the time. It was a bit challenging to make our tutus when literally, every 2 minutes our kids needed something. Nonetheless, we did end up having a fun two hours of making crafty skirts!

We had great joy in having Hadley, Emily and Parker stay the weekend with us in June. Hadley's sister was getting married, which made for a super busy weekend.

Good ol' Slip n' Slide

Remember the Slip n' Slide? Ahhh...the memories! It seems as though it was just yesterday that I too was taking a leap down the slippery runway. A friend from Sunday School invited us over one morning to play. Her children, Parker and Ainsley are close in age to Brady and Bailey.

Recently, Bailey and I took a trip to Dallas. Our first stop was to visit my grandparents, which was long overdue. We had a delightful dinner, followed by conversations & entertainment provided by Bailey. She is quite the entertainer I must say. Later into the evening Bailey & I traveled north to Allen where we stayed the night at Julianna & Neals house. I have known Julianna for what seems like forever, junior high. She and her husband Neal are expecting their first child this month, so we spent a day making sure all necessary preparations were made.

Memorial Day 2011

Since Randy had to work on Memorial Day weekend (BOO) I took the kids to Louisiana to visit my parents. It was a pleasant trip for the most part, minus Bailey crying for 45 minutes there and back. We spent some time at the dam, since that is something Brady is passionate about these days. Shortly after our "dam" tour we headed to a nearby beach for a cookout and dip in the lake. Unfortunately, the lake is extremely too low for any swimming to take place off our dock. We all enjoyed each others company & it was a great weekend indeed!

We left Randy's kayak at the lake about a year ago because we felt like it would get more use than it does in Waco. The kids & I ventured out into the cove for quick round. We might just be bringing the kayak back with us soon. I foresee some kayaking trips down the Brazos for Brady boy and Daddy!
